Supreme Court on Bulldozer Action: The matter of bulldozer action going on across the country reached the Supreme Court on Monday (2 September 2024). While hearing the case of bulldozer operation on the house of the father of the child accused of stabbing in Udaipur, the Supreme Court made a big comment. During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that according to municipal rules, illegal construction can be demolished only by giving notice. Not because someone is accused of any crime. On this, the court said that there is a need to set some guidelines in this regard, which all the states should follow.

Tushar Mehta, who appeared on behalf of the UP government, said that in most of the cases, notices were already given against illegal construction. On this, the court said that we are also not in favor of protecting illegal construction, but it cannot be right to demolish a boy’s father’s house due to his mistake. After this, Mehta said that we will also talk to all the parties and try to find a solution.

The next hearing in the case will be on September 17

After listening to Tushar Mehta, the judge asked all the parties to give their suggestions to senior lawyer Nachiketa Joshi. After looking at them, guidelines will be made for the whole country. Now the next hearing in this case will be on September 17.

While hearing the Udaipur case, the court said

Let us tell you that during the hearing on the bulldozer action on the house of the father of the child accused of stabbing in Udaipur, the court said that a father’s son can be stubborn, but if his house is demolished for this… then this is not the right way to do it.
